Living Audit Registry

The Living Audit Standard

Software is never permanent. An update can turn an essential utility into an ad-saturated cash grab overnight, or conversely, developer remediation can strip out dark patterns and earn a demoted app a clean rating.

The Friction Index does not lock initial scores in amber. When an app ramps up ad frequency, injects forced interstitial timers, walks back predatory pricing, or refactors broken telemetry, the entry is re-audited here with documented receipts.

Score Penalties Active

Status: 1 Active Score Demotion • Last Inspected: September 21st, 2026

System Audit: 1 title has incurred an official downward score penalty following behavioral re-audit (Monopoly GO! adjusted from 8.5 to 9.2). All remaining catalog entries sit at established baselines.
Continuous Monitoring: Living watchdogs remain active for churn traps, sudden ad creep, and paywall shifts across all cataloged software.

Monopoly GO!

Was: 8.5 Now: 9.2

Category: Casual / Board • Re-Audit Date: September 20st, 2026 • Status: Extreme Friction

Previous Baseline: Scored 8.5 for dynamic price inflation, locked AFK teammate traps, and ChromeOS container blocks.
Friction Shift Trigger: Algorithmic "churn baiting"—heavily rewards returning absentee players with hot streaks and speed upgrades while relentlessly pushing real-money pack purchases.
Adjusted Score: +0.7 penalty applied for dynamic engagement rigging and predatory lapsed-player retention loops.

Audit Finding: Dynamic Retention Manipulation

Absence from the title triggers artificial drop rigging: returning players are showered with inflated roll bonuses, 100-roll/min velocity boosts, and loaded board upgrades. The title silently manipulates RNG outcomes to manufacture dopamine hooks, all while maintaining an aggressive real-money purchase assault. Active players are squeezed; churned players are baited.
